What an Eventful Weekend

A lot of exciting things happened this weekend. First, Brandon's sister Jessica and her husband Nick were able to bless and seal their adopted cute little Sawyer this past Saturday in the Bountiful temple. It was so neat to be in the Temple for a sealing other than our own with all of Brandon's family. This was us with Sawyer just a few weeks after he was born.
The next exciting thing that happened was winning a $50 gift card to Old Navy. I never win anything. After the sealing, I had a voicemail from the store manager saying I had won a drawing for a $50 outfit. The greatest thing was that I only spent $2.14 on a shirt that allowed me to enter the drawing in the first place. I would say that is a pretty good return...and you don't even have to be a business major to know that. Check out all the bargains I got for $50- black blazer, Halloween shirt, comfy capris, 2 bracelets, 1 pair of earrings, super comfy and fun sandals, tights and a necklace:
The next thing doesn't fit within the exciting category, but definitely eventful. Brandon was trying to save a little dog from getting hit by a speeding truck and got a few scratches to prove it. He is doing fine now with only some minor bruises.

Next, we had yet another successful "Halloween Hot Spudnut Sunday" with both new and old friends and over 110 spudnuts.

Finally and the most exciting: Brandon and I celebrated our 2 month anniversary! So many laughs, adventures, and good memories since that blissful August 23 day.

we didn't get the memo...

One of my favorite roommates, Heather Tanner is going on a mission in just a few weeks. We decided to have one last get together and meet half way at Thanksgiving Point. We saw lots of signs pointing to a "Scarecrow Festival" and being the uinformed consumers, we followed them all the way to the ticket booth. It was $5 to get in, but after just a few minutes of being inside, we quickly learned that we were out of place! We stopped to get this one picture and the mothers looked at us as if we were crazy for being there without children. Sorry, but we didn't get the memo that the festivities were catered to young children. At least the sun was shining and it was a good chance to catch up! We'll just chalk it up as "FMC" (Future Mother's Club) activity. :)

Justin and Katie,

A big thank you for our new & amazing toothbrushes. Despite toothpaste and water splashing all over (when we forget to turn them on after they are in our mouths), they have taken our oral hygiene to a whole new level. And knowing my dental record, this is BIG news! Thanks for all the good times these past few weekends... candlelight Burgers Supreme, orange chicken, the Grand America Getaway, KFC picnics with Grandpa, presents from Uncle Duff and lots of laughs!

We loved our weekend getaway to the Sunday's cabin near Kamas for General Conference. It was so fun spending time with Nicole & Thayne, Andy & Rachel and Brandon's parents. And we especially loved being in the outdoors with the beautiful scenery, which unfortunately cannot be captured on camera.

Trying to be artsy...

Ode to Homeworkers.

Good luck as you study your minds off! I have a husband who I haven't talked to for six straight hours due to homework. Hmmm.... Not sure what to think about that! Love ya, Babe!
